Thanks a lot to Stuart from Always Trust In Books for tagging me, It was a great fun to write this post, and to share with you all my little reading habits 🙂 I will tag everyone who would love to share all the little secrets about their Book addiction, and I would love to read your answers 🙂 Enjoy 🙂
What is the longest amount of time you can comfortably go without picking up a book?
Hmmm, this one is tricky… It depends on the situations. I try to read at least a little bit every day, but if I’m in a reading slump or on holidays visiting family, it can take a week or so.
How many books do you carry on your person (or kindle) at any one time?
If I am reading a hard copy at that time, so it would be that particular book, plus many, many more which are on different apps (Playbooks/ kindle) on my phone or my tablet. (They are invisible, but always with me 😀 )
Do you keep every book you buy/receive or are you happy to pass them on to make space for more?
If I buy a book and really love it, or if it is a signed or dedicated copy, I will keep it. Otherwise, I love swapping books with other book bloggers, in my local book exchanges or just being a “Book Fairy” and passing it on to a new owner.
How long would you spend in a bookshop on a standard visit?
I could spend hours walking in a bookshop when I am abroad. I love different covers, different displays and different sections to browse, it is like a museum to me 😀 In the UK I get very overwhelmed when I step into a bookshop. I see all those wonderful titles, and I want them all, that’s why I can’t spend much time, because I know I will lose control… 😦
How much time per day do you actually spend reading?
It depends on the book. Normally I spend between 30 min to 2 hours, but if the book is really good, I can read all day with little breaks.
Where does the task ‘picking up a book’ appear on your daily to-do list?
I suck at lists, so it actually comes in naturally, when I want to relax, or I have time to spare.
How many books do you reckon you own in total (including e-books)?
I never had the urge to count because my books are all over the place. Hard copies, Play Books, 2 different kindle apps, iBooks, I reckon, roughly maybe somewhere around 200…
Approximately how often do you bring up books in conversation?
Most of my friends are not interested in reading, 😦 However, my family is very supportive, and always cheers with me if I get exciting bookish news… (Even though they have no idea what that means 😀 )
What is the biggest book (page count) you have finished reading?
I am not a very big fan of “fat” books, at the moment I think it was around 525 pages. If it’s more than that, this book has to wait… 😦
Is there a book you had to get your hands on against all odds i.e searching bookshops, online digging etc?
Nah… not really… I am not fussy, I take what life offers me. If I can’t get the book, oh well, it’s not the end of the world… “plenty of fish in the sea” 😀 But if I really, really want to read a book, I will go to the library 🙂
A book you struggled to finish but refused to DNF?
The Little Dog by Leslie W.P. Garland
What are 3 of your main book goals for 2018?
1. To get 80% badge on Netgalley (it is very hard one, but I will try to persevere)
2. Read more nonfiction
3. Write more non-review posts. 😉
Have you ever had the privilege of converting someone into a reader (maybe via inspiration or incessant nagging)?
My sister likes to read self-help books and was not very keen on fiction. But then, while browsing Book Exchange in Germany, we came across some of the books by Sophie Kinsella. I advised her to give it a try, and now she wants more… Does that count?
Describe what books mean to you in five words.
Relaxation, enjoyment, education, happiness, hobby.
Thanks for stopping by 🙂

There never enough time to spend in a bookshop. I swear no matter how much time I have I can almost always go past it. Lol.
I’m not a ‘fat book’ fan either but there are some for which I can the exception 😄

I agree, there are some exceptions.. but to stay on my reading goals, I have to stay away from them 🙄

Aw, my friends don’t read a lot either. The one who does the most, reads completely different genres.
Books somehow still make their way into the conversation 😂
I like bookshops abroad too!
